INTRODUCING OUR LIFE SKILLS WORKSHOP

#BalanceforBetter is the theme for this year's International Women's Day, which is observed each year on March 8. The 2019 initiative is aimed at gender equality, a greater awareness of discrimination and a celebration of women's achievements, according to the International Women's Day.

With this theme we are excited to share with you the launch of our life skills workshop using hairdressing as a foundation of knowledge. We are humbled to partner with Clontarf High School and Juluwarlu Group Aboriginal Corporation (Nana’s program) to instill knowledge in these amazing young girls.

Our workshops aim to empower girls and young women to take the lead in their own growth and development, learning to support each other through team work and building crucial life skills. We have curated an innovative program with topics and projects which cover a range of issues relevant to girls in the modern world. While preserving the indigenous culture, they will be given the tools they need to reach their full potential and become true agents of change.

At Ebony & Ivory, we understand how hairdressing has great potential to give confidence and courage to a girl. So with the theme #BalanceforBetter, we aspire to do our best to inspire our young girls to use all the skills for a better tomorrow.
